Supriya studied film direction with Egide Scholarship at Conservatoire Libre Du Cinema, Paris, France. Supriya started her career in 2009 as the founding member of Cinedarbaar in India. With her organisation, she has been involved in curatorial practices, film criticism, educational programmes and has organised several curated film festivals across India. "text-align: justify">
She co-founded and wrote for a film magazine – Indian Auteur & ran a cinema gallery – 13BCD, New Delhi. As a film curator, she was nominated by the U.S government for the International Visitor Leadership Programme to talk about Indian Films in the U.S.A. Supriya currently runs her production company Maison Su Entertainment which produces both documentary and fiction films. She was recently invited by META CINEMA FORUM, 2022 in Dubai as a speaker on Asian Cinema. She has also served as a jury member for the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival, 2022, and Cineaste International Film Festival, India in 2021. <p?
As a filmmaker, she has focused on documenting Indian film figures such as Buddhadeb Dasgupta and Aruna Vasudev. Her new film is a travelogue titled Main Tenu Phir Milangi, where three generations of women travel along parts of the Ganga to reflect on their own values, thereby capturing the larger cultural values of India itself. She is now set to venture into her first fiction film debut. In her journey of over a decade as a creative entrepreneur, she has seen the perils of the industry up-close, and these experiences have helped her sculpt the annual forum – CEF, which under its roof will bring entrepreneurs, artists, and consumers together to create a voice for an emerging, vibrant, creative Ind.
